Overview of the Program

As digital technologies continue to evolve, societies around the world are experiencing profound transformation. China has been an active participant in this global shift, supported by its large-scale economy and steady progress in technological development. The country has made notable achievements in areas such as smartphone manufacturing, e-commerce, and mobile internet services. At the same time, advancements in information technology innovation, industrial digitization, and the modernization of traditional industries are gradually reshaping various sectors of society. Digital tools have also become part of everyday life across both urban and rural regions, encouraging new applications and service models.

This short-term program provides international students with an accessible and structured introduction to China’s digital landscape. It covers topics ranging from the development of China’s ICT industry to representative digital infrastructure, including the Beidou Satellite Navigation System. Special attention is given to practical applications such as smart transportation and digital governance. Through lectures, field visits, and cultural activities, participants can observe how digital solutions support education, public services, and urban management in real-life settings.

China’s experience in digital development is closely connected to broader global trends. The country continues to explore opportunities for dialogue and collaboration, sharing its practical experiences while engaging with new ideas from around the world. This program encourages students to reflect on China’s approach to digital transformation, considering both its achievements and its challenges.

By promoting cross-cultural exchange, the initiative aims to enhance mutual understanding between China and the international community. It highlights how technological progress, when combined with openness and cooperation, can contribute to shared development and inspire new perspectives on global digital innovation.
