From December 1 to 3, 2025, international students in the HUST clinical Internship exchange program conducted a national conditions education study tour in Changsha. The tour aimed to guide the students in understanding the modernization of Chinese pharmaceutical industry and appreciating the richness of excellent traditional Chinese culture through field visits to pharmaceutical manufacturers and hands-on experiences with intangible cultural heritage.
The students visited Hunan Warrant Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., where they toured the solid dosage forms and sterile preparations workshops. The highly automated and intelligent production lines operated in an orderly manner, allowing the students to witness firsthand the modern standards and rigorous protocols of China's pharmaceutical industry. During the subsequent discussion session, the students actively raised questions concerning the company's talent cultivation, research and development innovation, and international cooperation. Student representatives showed keen interest in the company's national-level postdoctoral research program and inquired in detail about innovative drug development and international business expansion.

At the Liuyang Fireworks Craftsman College in the "Hometown of Fireworks," the students, under the guidance of inheritors of the intangible cultural heritage, participated in the process of making fireworks. From ingredient preparation and filling to initial shaping, each meticulous procedure allowed them to appreciate the craftsmanship and wisdom embedded in this millennium-old skill.

At Yuelu Mountain and the Hunan Museum, the profound historical and cultural heritage complemented the natural scenery. The international students marveled at the remarkable preservation of the site of Lady Xin Zhui and the exceptionally high standard of Han Dynasty silk weaving technology. The exhibition's storytelling approach made the artifacts "speak", enabling the students not only to witness the splendor of China's historical civilization but also to understand the unbroken thread of its cultural heritage.
This group of international students, hailing from countries such as France and Romania, is about to complete their clinical rotations at the affiliated Union Hospital. Organizing on-site national conditions education study tours for them aims to enrich the substance of their internship, guide them to measure the breadth of China with their footsteps and sense the pulse of its development through dialogue. The initiative seeks to cultivate more outstanding medical talents and youth ambassadors who can perceive a real, multidimensional, and comprehensive China and are willing to contribute to promoting friendly exchanges between China and other countries, building a community with a shared future for mankind.
