On Oct 28, a delegation from Anahuac University (in Mexico) and Qingdao Haizhichen Industrial Equipment Co visited the School of Mechanical Engineering and attended a meeting to discuss cooperation. Participants included Zhang Fen, chair of the school committee; Mtro. Víctor Hugo Velázquez Mendoza, chief financial officer of Anahuac University; and Chen Dong, chairman of Qingdao Haizhichen Industrial Equipment Co.

Zhang Fen delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school. She stated that Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) has always been guided by the national strategies and possesses profound disciplinary strength and talent advantages in fields such as intelligent manufacturing and mechanical engineering. She noted that Anahuac University is a renowned private university in Mexico, and that Qingdao Haizhichen Industrial Equipment Co has extensive experience in industrial vision and intelligent manufacturing. The trilateral cooperation will contribute to deepening the integration of higher education and industrial innovation between China and Mexico.

Mtro. Víctor Hugo Velázquez Mendoza expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He said that Anahuac University attaches great importance to cooperation with HUST and hopes to use the visit as an opportunity to initiate substantive collaboration in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and curriculum development.

Chen Dong introduced Qingdao Haizhichen Industrial Equipment Co's development in industrial vision and intelligent equipment, expressing the company's willingness to promote university-enterprise cooperation and build a collaborative innovation platform for industry-university-research between China and Mexico. Professor Li Wenlong and Dr. Xu Wei from the School of Mechanical Engineering introduced the school's research progress in intelligent manufacturing and precision measurement. The participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including talent cultivation, technical cooperation, and international projects, and learned about the school's achievements in research platform construction and experimental teaching.

This visit has laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the school, Mexican universities, and enterprises. The three parties will jointly explore collaboration frameworks in talent cultivation, scientific research and innovation, and international exchanges, contributing to the high-quality development of the global manufacturing industry and the cultivation of international innovative talent.
